Support that fits everyday life
Your interests. Your pace. Your kind of company.
Companionship means different things to different people. You may enjoy a lively conversation, a quiet afternoon with a puzzle, looking through family photographs or having someone to accompany you to a local activity. The starting point is what you enjoy, rather than a set list of things you should do.
For some people, staying at home feels most comfortable. For others, the thought of going out is appealing, but having someone alongside makes it feel more manageable. Support can centre on spending time at home, getting out into the community, or a combination of both, depending on the arrangements we agree.
Family members sometimes need a little space to attend their own appointments, keep up with work or simply take a break. An agreed sitting visit can provide company during that time. We will talk openly about the support needed so that everyone understands what the visit involves and whether it is suitable.
Getting to know someone takes time. Yasmin's approach is friendly, respectful and person-centred, with room to build a comfortable relationship. You remain in control of how you spend your time and what feels right for you. There is no need to have an activity planned for every minute.
